Help yourself and others, suffering from Anxiety

Depression is real. Everyone knows that. People who are now putting status for their family and friends to reach out to them for whatever they wanna share and they will listen. First listen to your mother, your father and your siblings, when they speak to you. Put your mobile phones aside. Pay attention to whatever they are saying. Correct them politely if they are wrong. Listen to them carefully. Try to resolve their problems. Relieve their tension or anxiety by saying motivational words. Take help from holy books. Lend them a helping hand, and if they are not sharing their problems with you. Ask them for their problems or anxiety. Show them with your behavior that you are with them and will take care of their worries. And while doing so, you don't need to pile up their problems in your mind. Remember, you are making them stress free by not taking their problems up yourself.  

 

Also speak to your parents about your problems, your worries, your tensions. If you don't want to stress your parents with your worries then speak to your siblings. Believe me, siblings are the best fellows to look up to. Share your problems with them. They will first mock you for taking stress of something worthless. And then they will try to help you out in a very light way and will make you realize that it was just a trivial matter. They will try to resolve your issues with their own experiences and will try their level best to convince you that you are mad and thinking too much about something insignificant.

 

If you are shy enough to speak about your problems or anxiety to your family members, then speak to your close and true friends. 'Remember, not everyone is your friend.' Choose your friend wisely with whom you are going to speak up about your problems. Make sure to choose the one who will not ridicule you and will listen to you carefully and will help you to find a solution of your anxiety or problem. 

 

And last but not least, if you are way too introvert to share your feelings/ problems/ anxiety/ stress/ tension to anyone. Then take your frustrations/ problems/ tension out by writing. In above paragraphs, I didn’t use the word "Depression", because the above mentioned emotions are the ones that are the root causes of Depression. Treat them before they elevate and take the form of depression. Speak about them and focus on the solutions.

How can we overcome depression?

 Divert your mind from overthinking by engaging yourself in activities that amuse you.

Let yourself busy in activities e.g. reading books, gardening (one of the most relaxing activity), watching your favorite show, cooking, painting, talking to your friends and the best one is doing yoga and exercise.

 

Remember that the times of ease are more frequent than the times of difficulty. Don’t Overthink. Don't say, why me? 

Face your problems.

 

Above are the options that will surely help you to relieve your tension, and to solve your problems. Pick anyone of them or else that help you to relieve your distress/ hopelessness/ sadness/ tension/ anxiety or depression. But "Suicide" is not the Option. NOT EVEN THE LAST.

Don’t let your loved ones life in difficulty by doing any such act.

  1. I think they think it is a real thing, but they don’t see it as a medical condition. They may see it as an attitude problem. Sounds like you’re frustrated about the misunderstanding. If you are depressed or a loved one then see if you can get seen by a psychologist. There are different types of depression. But "it's my opinion" I am not an expert.
